The Embassy supports professional development events for teachers of English, partnering with teacher associations, universities and the Ministry of Education. The Public Affairs Section also provides limited financial support to allow teachers to attend the annual TESOL international conference as well as Tunisian TESOL conferences . The Embassy encourages under-represented populations, such as young teachers, women, and educators from outside the capital, to become leaders in their ELT communities.
